Meeting with the CCM OrgCommittee on NGO elections

As part of the new election cycle for non-state sector representatives to the new Country Coordinating Mechanism (CCM) for HIV and Tuberculosis in Kazakhstan, a working meeting took place between the CCM Secretariat and representatives of the organizing committees from the respective constituencies. During the meeting, participants were briefed on the key stages of the election process, the role of organizing committee representatives, and the procedures for interacting with the CCM Secretariat, constituencies, and partner organizations. Particular emphasis was placed on conducting elections in accordance with the approved procedures of the respective constituencies, ensuring process transparency, and documenting all stages. Organizing committee representatives are now beginning work with their constituencies; this includes informing potential voters and candidates, registering election participants, establishing the required commissions, and preparing necessary documentation. Candidate and voter registration must be completed by October 20, 2026. The next stage will be the conduct of elections within the constituencies. Voting will take place between October 30 and November 6, 2026, in accordance with each constituency's rules. Following the elections, the relevant protocols and documents will be submitted to the CCM Secretariat to finalize the composition of the new Committee. The CCM Secretariat will continue to provide organizational and methodological support to the organizing committee representatives throughout all stages of the election process.
