On 14 July 2026, a meeting of the Country Coordinating Committee for interaction with International Organizations on HIV and Tuberculosis (CCM) was held under the chairmanship of the Director of the Department for the Organization of Medical Care of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The meeting was conducted in a hybrid format.

During the meeting, CCM members reviewed the draft funding request to the Global Fund for the HIV component for the 2027–2029 implementation period, as well as issues related to the further development and integration of the OneImpact.kaz digital platform into the national tuberculosis response system. CCM members discussed in detail the proposed activities, the application budget, comments and recommendations from government agencies, non-governmental organizations, and community representatives, as well as mechanisms to ensure the sustainability of activities after the completion of Global Fund financing.

Following the discussion, the CCM decided to revise the HIV funding request, taking into account the comments and recommendations received, and to submit the revised draft for consideration at the next CCM meeting scheduled for 23 July 2026, after which the final version will be submitted to the Global Fund within the established deadline. Regarding the expansion of the OneImpact.kaz application, the CCM decided to continue discussions, taking into account the recommendations and proposals presented.

3275. Expansion of the OneImpact.kaz application and its integration into the national tuberculosis response system.

On 5 June 2026, a roundtable was held in Almaty to present the results of the analysis of proposals submitted by stakeholders as part of the preparation of the Republic of Kazakhstan’s funding request to the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria (hereinafter – the Global Fund) under the HIV component for Grant Cycle 8.

The event was organized by the Country Coordinating Committee (CCM) in collaboration with the Kazakh Scientific Center of Dermatology and Infectious Diseases (KSCDID) within the framework of the UNDP/CCM project funded by the Global Fund. The roundtable brought together representatives of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan, civil society organizations, key population communities, international organizations, experts, and development partners.

During the meeting, participants were presented with the results of the assessment of proposals submitted in response to the CCM call for proposals, as well as the findings of community consultations conducted with the support of the Global Fund’s CRG international consultant. Particular attention was given to expanding access to HIV prevention services, pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP), innovative HIV testing approaches, strengthening services for key populations, and ensuring the sustainability of programs beyond Global Fund financing. As part of the agenda, participants worked in groups to discuss the prioritization of proposed interventions, the feasibility and resource requirements of activities, implementation and monitoring mechanisms, and the meaningful engagement of key populations in program implementation. The group discussions resulted in a set of recommendations for further refinement of the funding request. Participants emphasized the importance of maintaining effective prevention and service delivery models, expanding community participation in decision-making processes, strengthening mechanisms for domestic financing, and enhancing partnerships between government institutions and civil society organizations.

All recommendations and proposals developed during the roundtable will be shared with the consultants and taken into consideration during the preparation of the final version of Kazakhstan’s funding request to the Global Fund.
